Environment Planning Services
Protecting the environment is not only good business, it’s the right thing to do. Validus enhances your business with a voluntary, site-specific, comprehensive and action oriented Environmental Planning Process. Our process helps producers identify conservation concerns and develop solutions to treat the resource issues to meet their conservation goals and objectives.
This on-farm assistance includes:
- walking the farm;
- identifying client goals;
- assessing resource concerns;
- developing conservation alternatives; and
- documenting the client’s conservation decisions.
The final product includes a record of client decisions, a tentative schedule for implementation and suggestions for operation and maintenance, including record keeping.
Our trained planners are registered Technical Service Providers (TSPs) who understand the complexity of environmental regulations.
Validus Environmental Planning Services include:
- Conservation Plans;
- Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans (CNMP);
- Nutrient Management Plans (NMP);
- Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO) Rule Readiness Evaluations;
- Prescribed Burn Plans;
- Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) funding assistance; and
- Engineering services for implementation of environmental plans.
Validus is the only privately held company in the United States to hold a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Natural Resources Conservation Service as an Approved Source of Conservation Planning Assistance per the Food Security Act of 1985. The MOU allows Validus to train and certify individuals as conservation planners under the NRCS Certification system.
